| Women Helping Women - Transforming Words Into Action |
Practical Living Institute (PLI) launched the Women In Action
(WIA) Program in 1999. The Women in Action Program was
initially conceived to provide financial support, training, and
spiritual encouragement to small women-owned businesses in
developing countries. In 2002, PLI expanded the program to
include all women. WIA’s motto is “Women Helping Women –
Transforming Words into Action”. PLI has launched WIA
programs in South America (Bolivia and Guyana) and Africa
(Sierra Leone and Senegal).
Each WIA Project has a Project Director and team members who
work to raise money and support for their WIA project. Some
WIA projects are developed in partnership with other
organizations.
